Veterinary Medical Center at Lakewood Ranch already had a strong reputation for compassionate care. Its website needed to make the depth of that care easier to understand, from everyday wellness visits to emergency and specialty services.
I brought the hospital’s messaging, website, photography, and content into a clearer digital presence, with local search work supported by documented ranking comparisons.
The challenge: make the expertise easier to find
VMC serves pet families across Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton, and the surrounding communities. The older website introduced the hospital through a short services list and general information. It gave visitors little room to explore the specialists, equipment, and people behind its care.
The goal was to help pet owners understand their next step and give referring veterinarians a clear route to relevant services, while preserving the recognition the hospital had already earned.
My role and approach
I developed the website structure and copy, created a consistent visual direction around the existing brand, and produced photography and video content to introduce the hospital and its team. Local SEO and Google Business Profile work connected that content with the services people search for.
A website organized around real decisions
The new Squarespace website separates general practice, 24/7 emergency care, specialties, and supporting services. Dedicated pages explain what each service does, introduce the relevant team, and offer a clear next step for pet families and referring veterinarians.
Emergency availability is distinguished from scheduled specialty services. That detail matters: clear information helps visitors understand the right path without assuming every specialist is available around the clock.
People and services, brought into view
The Meet the Team page puts names and faces alongside the hospital’s expertise. Original photography and short videos make the experience more tangible, while service pages connect the people, capabilities, and practical information in one place.
Original video content
Videos are hosted on VMC’s Facebook page. Use the direct links if your browser blocks the embedded players.
Documented local search gains
An Ahrefs US organic ranking comparison between October 15, 2025 and September 1, 2026 recorded these changes:
“bradenton veterinary hospital”: position 49 to position 8.
“urgent vet lakewood ranch”: position 6 to position 4.
“veterinarian lakewood ranch fl”: position 3 to position 2.
“dr pappas veterinarian”: position 13 to position 9, with the team page ranking.
These are dated third-party ranking observations, not live positions or a guarantee of future performance. Rankings change by location, device, and date. The comparison documents progress during the project; it does not isolate the effect of any single change.
VMC’s strong reviews predated our work together. They are part of the hospital’s established reputation, not a result claimed for this project.
What VMC received
A reorganized Squarespace website with service-specific content and clear navigation.
Website copy and a consistent brand presentation.
A team directory and original photography.
Short video content showing the people and work inside the hospital.
Local search and Google Business Profile support, with performance reporting.
A clearer home for an established hospital
This project brought VMC’s digital presence closer to the depth of care already happening inside the hospital. The result is a more useful website, a clearer introduction to its team and services, and documented gains for relevant local searches.
