Illustration with your story in mind.
A character, a book cover, a graphic with a little personality: sometimes an idea needs to be drawn to feel real.
I create custom illustrations for business owners, authors, musicians, and other creatives. We start with what you want to communicate and where the artwork will be used, then build a visual direction together.
Give your idea a visual language.
An illustration can explain something, introduce a character, or bring a little more of your personality into your brand.
What are you imagining?
I work on selected cover art, character and mascot designs, book illustrations, apparel graphics, and supporting visuals for brands.
You might have a detailed idea or a feeling you’re trying to capture. Bring your references, your audience, and the places you’ll use the artwork. I’ll help turn those pieces into a clear brief.
A starting point for your next creative project.
Illustration projects start at $350. Your quote reflects the complexity, number of images, intended uses, and deliverables.
Made around the idea, down to the details.
I ask about the mood, message, and little details that matter to you. Those choices guide the sketches, colors, and finishing touches, so the artwork feels connected to what you’re creating.
We also plan for the practical side: the sizes you need, where it will appear, and how the files will be prepared.
“I had a hard time conveying my vision, but Faye understood where I was going and brought my vision to life.”
“From start to finish, Faye has been a pleasure to work with, super fast delivery as well, literally within a few days. I plan to use her services again for sure!”

From the first idea to the final artwork.
A shared direction, with room to review the work as it develops.
Talk through the idea.
We discuss what you’re creating, who it’s for, and how you’ll use the illustration. I then confirm the scope, price, schedule, and project terms before we begin.
1
Gather the references.
Share the details, inspiration, brand assets, and any reference images your project needs. We review the direction and the feedback points before I start drawing.
2
Explore the concepts.
I develop two rough sketch directions based on the brief. We review them together and choose one to develop, so the next stage has a clear focus.
3
Refine the drawing.
I turn the selected concept into cleaner line work. You review the shapes, composition, and important details before we move into color.
4
Find the color direction.
I add the base colors so you can see how the palette works across the illustration. This is a useful point to review the mood before the finishing details.
5
Add the finishing touches.
With the direction approved, I add the shading, highlights, textures, or other details that suit the style. We review the final artwork through the remaining agreed feedback round.
6
Prepare your files.
After final approval, I prepare the agreed file sizes and formats. You have a week of email support for questions about the handoff and using your finished artwork.
7
Plan what comes next.
If you’d like to carry the artwork into other materials, we can discuss a separate project or ongoing design support. You can return when your next idea is ready.
8
A little personality can go a long way.
“I’ll recommend her to anyone!”
“Faye is a joy to work with! She’s talented, professional, easy to work with, keeps you updated on progress, and is a good person!”
Courtland C., Musician | “Big Body” and “Watermelon”
Let’s make something that feels like your idea.
Tell me what you’re picturing, how you’ll use it, and when you need it. I’ll help you choose a realistic scope and explain the next steps.
The Investment: Starting at $350+
Have one focused design priority?
A VIP Design Sprint reserves six production hours for an agreed task at $1,250. It works best when your direction, content, and assets are ready.
We assess the request before booking. A complex illustration, multiple images, or a full book may need a longer project rather than a single sprint.
“The Final project came out exactly how I envisioned it. “
“I have found a lifetime partnership with Constant Creates. She was awesome to work with. She was readily available, pleasant, creative, a great communicator, and very knowledgeable. She provided honest feedback, which gave me security that she really cared about the project. Constant Creates is like a one-stop shop, she can really help one build their brand.”
Nicole D., Solopreneur | Faith in Pages & Guiding Glory
Hey, I’m Faye.
I’m the designer and creative strategist behind Constant Creates. Illustration has been part of my creative life since childhood, and I still love the moment an idea starts to take shape on the page.
I bring that curiosity into our work, along with an eye for how the finished piece fits your brand or project. You bring the story and the details that matter to you; I help turn them into artwork you can use.
Your illustration questions, answered.
-
Projects start at $350, with the quote based on complexity, image count, intended use, revisions, and timing. A single-character illustration is typically $550. Book design and children’s-book illustration can range from $1,000 to $10,000 or more, depending on the project.
Tell me what you’re creating, and I’ll confirm a specific scope and price before we begin.
-
A typical single illustration takes around two weeks from the agreed start date. The schedule depends on the complexity, ready references, and feedback. Multi-image and book projects need a longer plan, which we confirm before booking.
-
We can talk through your idea on a free call. Use the inquiry button to tell me what you have in mind, and I’ll help assess the scope and whether I’m the right fit.
-
For one illustration, aim to reach out at least three weeks before you need the finished work. A full children’s book needs much more planning; for a 36-page project, allow nine months or more to discuss, schedule, and complete the work.
Availability and the final timeline depend on the scope. A sprint may suit one focused, prepared task, but a full illustration project is not automatically a one-day service.
-
Payments are milestone based, with equal payments made on a weekly schedule.
-
We review the work as it develops, with three consolidated revision rounds planned through the project. Share clear feedback at those points so I can refine the agreed direction before final delivery.
If your needs change or you want a different direction beyond the scope, we can discuss the options and any additional work before proceeding.
-
We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise and you may need to cancel your design project.
We offer a cancellation policy that allows for flexibility while still protecting our time and resources. Since our payments are milestone-based, cleared milestones cannot be refunded.
However, if you need to cancel your project before all milestones are completed, we require a 5% cancellation fee of the remaining cost. This ensures that we are compensated for work completed and allows us to allocate our resources to other projects. You are free to cancel your project at any time, and we are happy to discuss any concerns or questions you may have about the cancellation process.
-
I prepare high-resolution digital files for the uses we agree, commonly PNG and PDF. Your proposal confirms the dimensions, resolution, formats, and intended print or digital applications. Let me know about any supplier requirements before we begin.
-
Bring your concept, the audience you want to reach, and where the illustration will be used. References, rough sketches, brand guidelines, and details about characters, settings, or props are helpful.
If you have a printer, publisher, or platform in mind, share its file specifications early so we can plan around them.
-
Rush work depends on availability and may carry an additional fee. Share your deadline early, and I’ll explain what may be realistic.
A $1,250 VIP Design Sprint reserves six production hours for one agreed priority. We check that your request and ready materials fit before booking; complex or multi-image projects need a separate scope.
Have something else in mind? Tell me about it, and I’ll help you work out whether the project fits.
